Stanley Yim and Associates, Inc.'s (SYA) involvement for projects has generally been from inception to completion. Upon completion, a project will either be ready for use or, ready for occupancy. The Company has a wide variety of services to offer to meet the needs that would arise in the different work phases between inception and completion.

The Planning, Management, and Project Development Services fall into two distinct groups. One sets concept(s) where development schemes would be prepared, costs analyzed, and compliance with zoning laws verified. Constraints impacting the project would also be investigated. The other manages and administers projects for clients.

Projects using monies from Federal funds or, where the sites are environmentally impacted would involve the Environmental Assessment. Pending the findings of the assessment document, a full Environmental Impact Statement may be generated. SYA and its support team's expertise in archaeology, water quality analysis, soils analysis, hazardous waste, traffic and other pertinent areas are available for the generation of the EIS document.

SYA's Civil and Sanitary Engineering Services provide the designs and prepare the construction documents for infrastructure improvements for projects. Such designs are for both new proejcts as well as existing infrastructure needing repairs and/or rehabilitation. The picture shown is a coastline along the southeast side of Oahu where a major sewer trunkline over four decades old had to be repaired. The area is environmentally sensitive with severly limited access. The sewer line and some of its manholes are also in the beach area and beneath the ocean surface. SYA successfully used trenchless technology repaired this trunkline with a minimum of impact to the services connected and to the surrounding environment.
